The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has demonstrated that nootkatone as an active ingredient is highly effective against the ticks that transmit Lyme disease. Research by the CDC has determined that nootkatone is effective at repelling and controlling a range of pests, including ticks, mosquitoes, and other insects.2 Discovered in nature, nootkatone is effective in a variety of applications.
